The Drake Burning Bridges AI trend takes the party scene from the official music video for Drake's song "Burning Bridges" and swaps in a different cast with AI. The setting, the camera moves and the performance stay recognizable, while the lead becomes you, a friend, a historical character or an animal. Most versions keep the original audio, so viewers recognize the moment instantly.

The song and the video

  • The song. "Burning Bridges" is a track from Drake's album Iceman, released on May 15, 2026 through OVO and Republic. It reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. (Wikipedia, citing Billboard and The Guardian)
  • The video. The official music video was published on the DrakeVEVO YouTube channel on May 15, 2026. Its description credits Theo Skudra as director and director of photography. (YouTube)
  • The party. The party scene was filmed in the private dining area of Sotto Sotto, a restaurant in Toronto's Yorkville neighborhood, according to CP24's coverage of the album launch.

The scene is easy to recognize: a crowded, warmly lit dining room under chandeliers, a handheld camera in close, and a lead performing straight into the lens with a metal cup in hand while the guests react around the lead.

What the AI version changes

AI "recast" tools use a short clip of the party as a reference video. The model keeps the reference's timing, gestures and camera path, and replaces people based on the photos you upload.

  • The lead. Your photo replaces the person in the foreground. On Burning Bridges AI, the model uses your face, hair and visible outfit; here's how to choose that photo.
  • The guests (optional). Some tools, including ours, let you add friends who replace background guests. How friend order works.
  • The room (optional). Some tools accept a scene photo that changes the environment while keeping the performance.
  • The sound. Tools differ here. Some include the original reference audio, and others deliver a silent file that you pair with a sound on TikTok. Burning Bridges AI replaces the AI-generated audio with the original 15-second reference track.

The result is a short, instantly readable joke: the same famous moment, with an unexpected main character.

How the trend started

We couldn't find reliable reporting on who made the first AI version, or when it took off. As of October 12, 2026:

  • No major music or culture outlet we checked had covered the AI trend itself.
  • Know Your Meme had no entry for it.
  • Dates that circulate online come from AI tool websites, and they don't agree with each other.

What we can confirm is the scale: by October 2026, at least a dozen websites were offering a dedicated Burning Bridges AI video generator, with different lengths, prices and audio policies. We compared them in Burning Bridges AI Video Generators Compared.

Separately, the song's "Where she at?" chorus gesture had already traveled well beyond music. Complex reported that Drake did it at the 2026 World Cup and that Cristiano Ronaldo later copied it. (Complex via Yahoo Sports)

The versions that work best change who is at the party while keeping the moment intact:

Making your own

On Burning Bridges AI, you upload one photo, choose 768P or 2K, and get a 15-second landscape MP4 with the original soundtrack. A 768P video costs 40 credits, and the Starter pack is $6.90. The full walkthrough is in How to Make a Drake Burning Bridges AI Video from One Photo.
